Social Ministry
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church reaches out to others, both near and far, in a variety of ministries as we serve Christ's mission by responding to the needs of our human family:

  1. A Food Pantry that delivers essential nutritional basics to the outreach program at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Paterson, New Jersey.
  2. Contributing both time and money to help the Spanish language ministry at La Nueva Comunidad en San Pablo in Paterson, New Jersey.
  3. Annual participation in the CROP Walk organized by Church World Service to raise money to help feed the hungry.
  4. Engaging the youth of the church in helping with social ministry projects and in alerting the congregation to their importance.
  5. Regular "minute for mission" talks during the church service to remind the congregation of critical ministries around the world that need our support and prayer.
